Biography
August founded FSI to provide agile, analytically driven consulting support for early stage, middle market, and upper middle market companies. At FSI, he leads engagements across Finance & Strategy, Sustainability, and Growth & Positioning, combining tactical finance and accounting proficiency with experience in investment banking, principal investing, corporate finance, and management consulting. His approach combines analysis, process improvement, technology, and transparency to deliver tangible business results and successful outcomes.
Previously, August served as CFO and Head of the ESG Committee at Impact Selector, a global downhole technology company focused on reducing costs, enhancing safety, and lowering emissions for oil and gas companies. Prior to Impact Selector, he spent several years on the investment team at Turnbridge Capital, a middle-market private equity fund deploying capital and partnering with businesses across the energy service and technology markets. August began his career in the investment banking division of Piper Sandler (formerly Simmons & Company International), providing M&A advisory and capital markets execution for clients across the energy sector.
Based in Dallas, Texas, August holds an MBA, a BBA in Finance, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a focus on Financial Applications from Southern Methodist University.
