Biography

August founded FSI to provide agile, analytically driven consulting support to early stage and middle market companies. At FSI, he leads Finance & Strategy engagements, and supports the growth and execution of the firm's adjacent service lines.

August's background combines tactical finance and accounting proficiency with experience in investment banking, principal investing, corporate finance, and management consulting. He is a highly trusted partner who combines analytics, process improvement, technology, and transparency to deliver excellent business results and successful outcomes.

Previously, August served as CFO at Impact Selector, a PE-backed global downhole technology company focused on reducing costs, enhancing safety, and lowering emissions for oil and gas operators. Prior to Impact Selector (sold to Weatherford NASDAQ: WFRD), he spent several years on the investment team at Turnbridge Capital, a middle-market private equity fund deploying capital and partnering with businesses across energy service and energy technology markets. August began his career in the investment banking division of Piper Sandler (formerly Simmons & Company International), providing M&A advisory and capital markets execution for clients across the energy sector.

Based in Dallas, Texas, August holds an MBA, a BBA in Finance, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a focus on Financial Applications from Southern Methodist University.
